Skip and container bin guidelines

Skip-bin.png

If you’re hiring a skip or container bin, you should place it on your own property, if possible.

A ‘Container’ includes a skip bin, bulk bin, or other receptacle for holding litter or other materials, or any pallet load or pile of bulk materials.

If you need to place a skip or container bin on the berm, road or in a marked parking space, you will need permission from the Upper Hutt City Council. In which case, please complete the application form on this page.

Applications will be processed within 5 business days.

If you have any questions please email roadingconsents@uhcc.govt.nz.

Conditions

To ensure the safety of road users, there are some rules to follow. Refer to the Upper Hutt City Council Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2005 for more information.
