Ecclesfield Reserve

Ecclesfield Reserve was donated to the Royal Forest and Bird Society in 1965 by Miss E M North.

Ecclesfield Reserve is home to several walking tracks which interconnect. There is limited parking available.

Walking Tracks

The walking tracks at Ecclesfield Reserve are considered to be intermediate level walking tracks.

Multiple tracks (40 minutes)

The reserve has walking tracks through tawa and beech forest. Many other native trees and plants can be found. The tracks are well marked with a look-out situated at the western corner of the reserve on the Te Kouka Knob. Views of the surrounding area can also be obtained from other vantage points.

Pack your bag, tell someone where you are going and when you'll be back, take some food and water, wear clothes and footwear suitable to the weather conditions, and enjoy Upper Hutt's beautiful outdoors!
