There are seven golden rules when it comes to reducing waste – they’re easy to remember, they all start with R.
And if we consider those rules when we’re buying something, or about to throw something out, then we’ll be able to reduce the amount of rubbish going to the landfill. Some of these you’ll know well, for others you might need a few tips to get started.
This campaign is underpinned by the Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) for the Wellington region. The WMMP sets a vision, objectives, targets and action plans to take the region closer to a future where we collectively care about resources. You can read more about the WMMP on our website.
