Road alerts and warnings provide real-time information to residents in areas known to become isolated through severe weather. Learning from past severe weather events, we have found this to be a successful way to help keep our rural road users safe in changing road conditions
Road alerts and warnings can be received by text or email, depending on which is most reliable for you. We will send a text message alert and/or send an email message to subscribers when there has been an incident or emergency event significantly affecting travel on roads in their area.
Any resident can subscribe to road alerts for the following areas:
