Final inspection

All building consents require a final inspection to confirm that the work carried out is in accordance with the approved plans. The building work approved in the building consent should be completed within two years of the date on which the building consent was granted.

We require all documents that support completion of work and compliance with the consent prior to accepting a final inspection booking. Please complete an application for code compliance certificate and supply with the supporting material referenced in consent attachments and inspection notices. Examples of documents may include energy certificates, as-built drainage plans and engineers producer statements accompanied with reports.

Applications are checked for completeness. Incomplete applications may be returned. We have 20 working days to process applications. The clock starts on receipt of a complete application and may be suspended for requests for further information. A suspended clock will restart when all information requested has been received. When the application is complete we will contact you to arrange your final inspection.
